Tattoo Aftercare: Always wash hands thoroughly before touching your new tattoo. Remove bandage, if any, after one hour. Do not reapply a bandage to a fresh tattoo while it is healing. Wash tattoo with antibacterial soap and water using only your fingertips, being sure to remove any dried blood. Blot dry with a clean towel and leave open to the air. Repeat 3- 5 times a day. Within 5 days to a week, your tattoo will start to dry up and scab. Start applying a water-based lotion that is free of aloe and perfume 2-5 times a day, as needed. No soaking (baths, hot tubs, pools, lakes, oceans) for at least 2 weeks. Avoid pet hair, and shaving the area of the fresh tattoo.
Piercing Aftercare: Now that you have gotten your new piercing, there are some rules in order to properly take care of it. To start, never touch your piercing with dirty hands. Avoid unhygenic bodies of waters, like rivers, oceans, pools, lakes, and do not soak your piercings in bathtubs. Avoid irritants like fragranced soap, beauty products, rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide.
Antibacterial Soap: Wash your hands with antibacterial soap, and wash it off. Apply a new layer of soap, get some on a q-tip, and apply to the fresh piercing, both sides, for 15 seconds, and wash off. Make sure to completly wash the soap from the area, as leftover soap can dry the area and lead to irritation. Do this twice a day, no more than 4 times.
Saline solution: Wash your hands. Apply sterile saline to a non-woven sterile gauze and apply for 5 minutes, no more than twice a day.
Keloid: There are two methods of keloid removal, tea tree oil and aspirin paste. Clean area with soap, with tea tree oil, soak a q-tip with tea tree oil, dilute with water for one second, and apply to the keloid for 15 seconds, twice a day. With aspirin, crush it into a powder, and add one drop of distilled water per pill, and mix it into a toothpaste like consistency, and apply to keloid, and leave for 15 minutes. Twice a day. Results can take up to a month to show with either method.
